Brighton/Waltham Summer 2010

So instead of having fun and relaxing this summer, we completely renovated our two rental properties in Brighton and Waltham, MA.  They now have gorgeous granite kitchens and freshly painted everything.  See the fruits of our labors here!

Waltham 2 Bedroom

New tile bath with new shower, toilet, floor! Wow!

Sparkling shiny and clean.

Espresso vanity and medicine cabinet.

Complete refacing of the kitchen cabinets. Note the reproduction schoolhouse lighting fixture.

Outdated but good quality, hardwood cabinets were transformed into this. Stay tuned for the before pix and description of the "how to." New hinges and hardware complete the package.

Mist Gray granite countertop purchased from my friend Mickey at Watertown Tile. Large, deep stainless sink and fancy faucet with pull out sprayer.

Hard to see how the floors gleam, but they are prefinished hardwood floors much like the ones in our own house. They are stunning.

Upstairs bedroom with Restoration Hardware "Butter" paint, high ceilings and a bay window.

White downstairs bedroom just as the skies darkened before starting to rain. More photos later. High ceilings feature the original, Victorian era ceiling medallion (photo to follow)

Photos of the Restoration Hardware Silver Sage living room to follow.  And stay tuned for photos of the Brighton condo.

BRIGHTON

It was time for the hideous 1980s condo conversion era melamine white cabinets and ugly wall tile to go away.  We also hadn’t thought the better of putting in an overly large wood vanity in the bathroom a few years ago, and the wood had warped and become damaged.  A small, porcelain sink aquired at a yard sale for $25 was the way to go.
