The only thing that makes the end of one vacation tolerable is the hope of another in the future. So we almost always have a trip (or two) up our sleeves when one has just finished. Rila Monastery, Bulgaria. Did you know that through the efforts of the Bulgarian people and the Orthodox Church almost all of Bulgaria's Jews were saved during the Holocaust?!
It is our life plan to visit Italy roughly every 3 years. Our last trip was in 2009, but we’ve decided to return again in 2011. The question is just exactly where? Abruzzo? Le Marche? Urbino and other towns in Umbria? So many options. There are also some lakes and foodie destinations to see in Piedmont. We welcome suggestions.
